Therapy Groups
Alongside one-to-one work, I offer therapeutic support groups for autistic adults and those exploring whether they may be autistic, providing a space to connect, reflect, and feel less alone in your experiences.
These groups are designed to offer a compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming environment where shared understanding, self-discovery, and meaningful connection can emerge.
Thinking about a Therapy group
-
Group therapy can offer something different to individual work. For many people, being alongside others who have had similar experiences can reduce feelings of isolation, soften shame, and foster a greater sense of belonging.
The group provides a space to explore experiences such as masking, burnout, identity, relationships, boundaries, and self-acceptance, while also making room for whatever feels important in the here and now.
Many autistic adults describe never having had the opportunity to be fully themselves in relationship with others. Group work can offer a gentle space to explore authenticity, connection, and being seen and understood by others who "get it".
-
This is an ongoing online therapeutic support group facilitated by Dr Cloie Parfitt.
Sessions are held weekly and last 90 minutes. The group is open-ended, meaning members may remain for as long as the group continues to feel supportive and beneficial.
To support safety, trust, and cohesion within the group, members are asked to commit to attending a minimum of eight consecutive sessions.
Sessions combine reflective discussion, shared experience, relational exploration, and gentle psychoeducation to support self-understanding and growth. Whilst there is no pressure to share before you feel ready, members are encouraged to participate in a way that feels manageable and meaningful for them.
Places are limited in order to create a safe and thoughtfully held environment.
